The wolves have just left the forest
In folklore, there are many tales about the danger of wolves in the forest. They tell us to beware and instil fear in us to make us cautious. The wolves represent the untamed and unpredictable part of human nature. In this work, the forest has been transplanted by the urban jungle. And, the wolves are the unpredictable terror attacks in Europe. The wolves have left the forest and joined us.
A series of five paintings on paper painted during times of public uncertainty as trucks were being hijacked and used as weapons in the streets of Europe.
