Limpio de Sangre
Limpio de Sangre literally means 'clean of blood' and in the colonial times in Colombia it meant 'blue-blooded' or of noble blood. It was used to clarify that someone had no indigenous or slave heritage. This work is constructed from panela raw sugar blocks and gold leafed lettering.
