One Year in Antarctica: a hypothetical journey
A colossal breakaway iceberg, B-17b, moved from Antarctica across the southern ocean towards Australia. The biggest iceberg of its size ever to be recorded heading into Australian waters. Twice the size of Manhattan. Scientists surmised that if it hit land the impact would be powerful. I wondered what this impact would feel like? An earthquake, a thud or a rumble? At that moment, wanting to experience Antarctica before it all melts I took myself on a one-year hypothetical journey to the South Pole. The work was produced during my first snow laden winter months in Munich at the lithographic workshop Steindruck München.
